I feel as if everywhere I go, there is something more than the naked eye can see or the ear can hear. I see hearts, I hear pain. I see people in need. My heart aches. Yet I do nothing. I strive to make those around me have smiles on their faces, laughter in their lungs and joy in their eyes. Yet, those who need it most are always just slightly out of reach.
So, the reason I am announcing these facts and unloading this onto my computer is that I am making a decision. I am taking a stand against just passing by those who need something, someone, a smile, a hug. I am, from now on, going to give something more.
“Dare to look foolish. The real fools are those who never attempt anything. Dare to make mistakes. They are the best teachers you will ever know. Dare to take action. There’s a risk you may fail. Yet if you take no action failure is a certainty. Dare to be fully alive. Dare to speak your mind. Dare to enjoy the beauty of the world. Dare to make a difference. Dare to love. Dare to be the person you know you can be. Dare to expect the best, with your words and actions. You’ll usually get it. Dare to do what is right rather than what is convenient or expedient. It will truly make a difference in the way you see yourself, and the way others see you. You’re here, with this magnificent day available to you. Dare to make it the best you can.”—
